2017 Sparkling Rosé
Sta. Rita Hills
Lafond Winery has just released its first ever Sparkling Wine of Rosé. Winemaker Bruce McGuire chose just the right fruit at just the right sugar level from Burning Creek Ranch to create a delicious Sparkling Rosé perfect for any celebration.
Bright & well balanced with pretty fruit notes of citrus & strawberry. Elegant bubbles balance the juicy elements, keeping it dry & not overly sweet.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2017 Sparkling Rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from Burning Creek Ranch in the Sta. Rita Hills. The wine is a delicate, pale-pink with orange undertones and has subtle aromas of rose petal, strawberry, and brioché. Early strawberry and orange zest complete the palate. The 2017 Sparkling Rosé is super versatile. A wonderful celebration wine -- drink with oysters (raw or fried), sushi, or spicy Asian dishes.

Winemaker Notes
The base wine was made at Santa Barbara Winery while disgorging and packaging was done at Rack & Riddle with state of the art equipment. It was aged for 16 months on the yeast in bottle before disgorging to add mid-palate texture. Sourced from Burning Creek Ranch, it is 52% Clone 777 and 48% Pommard Clone.
