The SRH Syrah uses a special blend of grapes created by winemaker Bruce McGuire that always includes at least 50% fruit from old vines planted in 1972. The Syrah from the Lafond Vineyard’s old vine block produces fruit with complex spice and floral notes. This Syrah is an honest and delicious reflection of the past and present.
This wine showcases the ancient marine soils and the cool coastal climate representing the best of Sta. Rita Hills.

The 2020 Sta. Rita Hills Syrah is a deep maroon color with rich purple undertones. This wine is very aromatic featuring notes of blackberry, dried herbs and white pepper. Flavors of dark fruit flow across the palate with spice and oak on the finish.
