2021 Grenache
Lafond Vineyard
Lafond Vineyard dedicates most of its space to Pinot Noir, but keeps room for Grenache in a section just north of the Santa Ynez River. Winemaker Bruce McGuire fostered the idea of growing a cool-climate Grenache on the property, and the results have been rewarding. Grenache grown in cooler climates tends to develop spicier components than in warmer climates.

Winemaker Notes
Our Grenache was planted in 2002 from a Tablas Creek Selection from Chateau Beaucastel in Chateauneuf Du-Pape. With vine age, the wines have evolved from simple fruit to those with enhanced density and flavor.
