2018 Pinot Noir Clone 667

2018 Pinot Noir Clone 667
Lafond Vineyard

Sustainability in Practice Certified Wine

Winemaker Bruce McGuire focuses on the aromatic and tannic finesse of Clone 667 from the Lafond Vineyard. The 667 clone is characterized by small berries, which result in a more intense color than many Pinot Noirs, and good tannin structure suitable for aging. The 667 clone benefits from the mixture of ancient marine based soil found throughout the Sta. Rita Hills, and the river deposited soil from the Santa Ynez River.

Lafond Vineyard is ideally situated to produce Pinot Noir exhibiting the unique and exotic flavor profile one finds in only a few regions of the world. Specific areas within our vineyard exhibit elevated concentration and complexity due to soil type and exposure to the elements. We have planted eight distinct clones of Pinot Noir, each with subtle differences in flavor and aroma.
